Released in Japan on July 18, 2009.
In the film, Arceus, a powerful being known as a Pokémon, awakens from a long sleep to seek justice from the humans who refused to return Arceus his life-giving jewel and attacked him. Through looping quantum cosmology, the spatial distortions caused by Arce's awakening lead to a conflict between the extradimensional Pokémon Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina. To stop Arceus from attacking humanity, Dialga sends Pokemon trainers Ash Ketchum, Dawn, and Brock back in time along with Sheena, the descendant of a man who mistakenly believed to have betrayed Arceus.
